Three passengers identified as Zubair, Tahira and Bank of Punjab (BoP) President Zafar Masood survived the PIA plane crash. They were brought to hospital and are under treatment. Earlier, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab confirmed in a tweet that two passengers survived the crash.

He added that around 30 wounded persons who are the residents of the area where the plane crashed, were brought to the hospitals. Further, the spokesman said that 15 dead bodied were brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi, while media coordinator the the Sindh health ministry Meeran Yousuf confirmed that JPMC received 19 dead bodies.
Senior journalist and director programming 24 News Ansar Naqvi and actor Zara Abid were among the passengers of the ill-fated plane. There are conflicting reports about them which could not be independently verified.
