Actor Fawad Khan’s media team has dismissed allegations leveled by a polio team that the actor refused anti-polio vaccination for his kids. The actor’s spokesperson said that the allegations were inaccurate and that Fawad has been out of Pakistan since February 13.
“Fawad left for Dubai on February 13th to perform in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) opening ceremony and is currently in the United States (US),” Fawad’s manager said, adding that ‘nothing could be further from the truth’ as neither Fawad nor his wife were at home at the time polio workers came.
"His travel history clearly demonstrates the manufactured nature of the FIR and he has just come to know of the FIR through the press," the press release issued by Fawad’s team said.

The release also said that Khan fully supports the polio campaign and is fully aware of the guidelines of international organizations regarding the disease. The release also said that vaccination of Fawad’s daughter is up-to-date and records to that end are available.
It was also said that legal action will be taken against the complainants if the FIR is not withdrawn.
On Wednesday, a polio team registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the actor accusing him of not cooperating with the team. The workers also claimed that family members of the ‘Hamsafar’ misbehaved.
