The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has suspended the additional deputy commissioner of Khyber for what is claimed to be the issuance of a press release in support of the court’s decision in the high treason case.
According to a notice doing the rounds of social media, KP’s Establishment Department suspended Fahad Ikram Qazi for violation of Rule 6 of KP Government Servants Rules.
Journalist Manzoor Ali tweeted that the KP government had suspended the officer for issuing a press release in support of the judiciary following the verdict in the high treason case.

Member of parliament Mohsin Dawar expressed his shock at the suspension of the official, who he said was a principled and upright official. He added that supporting the judiciary and the constitution was not a crime, adding that the constant humiliation of civilian institutions and officials must stop.
