56 Out Of 59 Fairness Creams Found Highly Toxic: Zartaj Gul
Islamabad:  While addressing Media representatives, Minister for Climate Change, Zartaj Gul said that cosmetic companies and fairness creams manufacturers are adding 'an excessive amount of mercury'. This was evident in the 59 samples the ministry obtained out of those 56 were toxic with excessive mercury.

“The creams you sell for ten rupees, you play with our skins through these creams,” the young minister from DG Khan added. Gul was adamant in legislating in the matter and act against fairness creams manufacturers.

Gul called out manufacturers for using mercury intensive products to encash young girl`s health under the ambit of skin whitening. Many took to twitter posting what Gul had revealed and how dangerous fairness creams can be.

The images have gone viral on social media addressing young girls to exercise caution while using such creams. It is pertained to mention here that back in 2017 BBC in a report exposed Pakistani Beauty Brand which rang alarm bells across the industry.
