When President Alvi Wanted Justice Isa To Become Governor Of Balochistan
The presidential reference filed against Justice Qazi Faez Isa in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) was quashed by the Supreme Court on Friday.

It is worth remembering that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) opinion of the Judge has not always been the same. In 2013, when PTI was the opposition party, President Arif Alvi tweeted that Qazi Faez Isa should be the governor of Balochistan. He had said, "May I suggest Qazi Faiz Isa, present Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court as the Governer".

In response to Arif Alvi's tweet, Shireen Mazari, the now Human Rights Minister seconded the President's opinion, saying that such strong judges should be in place to fortify the judiciary and not put into places of political power to uphold a just legal system in Pakistan.

The tables have turned now as the Federal Board of Revenue has been instructed by the Supreme Court to file a report on Sarina Isa's assets in a week.

Farogh Naseem also told the court that the PM will resign if it is proven that he owns properties in the UK, adding that Shahzad Akbar does not possess any property there either. The court quashed the presidential reference earlier today.
