Actor Ayesha Omar has revealed that she would be working in a film that portrays the hardships of the people of Balochistan, especially the missing persons situation.
The movie, called Dhai Chaal, stars Shamoon Abbasi. Ayesha informed media, “The story is about the sacrifices of people in Balochistan, who went through a lot of hard times to reinstate peace in the region.”
Ayesha revealed that she would be playing a journalist who, in the movie, tries to portray a real picture of what is occurring in Balochistan.
Shamoon Abbasi plays a RAW agent and his role is based on the events surrounding the capture of Kulbhushan Jadhav. Abbasi’s character disguises himself as a businessman and carries out activities to sabotage relations between China and Pakistan and create disorder in the region.
The film also stars Adnan Shah Tipu, Rasheed Naz, Saleem Mairaj, Humayun Ashraf, Pakiza Khan and local talent from Balochistan.
Taimur Sherazi has directed the film while it has been written by Faiza Choudhry. It is expected to be released in February of 2020.
Ayesha appreciated the energy and hardwork of the people she works with. “We have students from Balochistan’s universities who are working as interns. They are all very respectful, sweet, and talented,” she added.
Ayesha further added that the reason why she wanted to work on the film was that the story was very authentic and original. She added, “All these people are working from their heart, especially producer Dr Irfan Ashraf.”
She said that Dr Irfan had been working in Balochistan for the past 15 years and wanted to show what was happening in the province.
