‘PSL Will Eventually Return To Pakistan’. ‘Season 4 Will Introduce New Talent’. Fawad Khan, Wasim Akram Weigh In
Pakistan’s cricketing legend Wasim Akram has said that Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 4 guarantees new faces, while heartthrob Fawad Khan believes that the tournament will eventually be hosted in Pakistan.

Speaking to Journalist Faizan Lakhani, Wasim Akram said that Pakistan has tremendous talent in its ranks and PSL this season will reveal some new faces. “PSL has helped Pakistan cricket grow, it has given us names like Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, we even saw Sharjeel in the start of the league. Ruman Raees also came into limelight through this league,” Wasim said.

Akram, who will serve as the bowling coach of Karachi Kings this season, said that he would do his best to teach young pacers how to own themselves, play mind games and read the batsman’s moves. He also said that he was excited that 8 of the PSL 4 matches were going to be held in Pakistan.

Actor and heartthrob Fawad Khan, in a separate interview, said that he believes the tournament will eventually take place entirely in Pakistan in the coming years.

The superstar, who is expected to perform in the opening ceremony later today, said that already a good number of matches were being played in Pakistan and transition will take place.

“The PSL franchise is still in infancy. Eight matches are going to be played in Pakistan this year, also the closing ceremony will happen in Karachi so that is a positive sign,” said Khan, who has also sung the PSL 4 official anthem.

The PSL opening ceremony is expected to start at around 7pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) later today followed by the tournament first fixture between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandards.
