A five member gang was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)in Peshawar for hacking and selling private data of citizens.
Dawn reported that the arrest was made after a cybercrime reporting centre in Peshawar revealed that the five member gang had formed a countrywide network to deal in private data of citizens. The members of the gang were arrested after a tip-off to the FIA.
The accused were involved in hacking, purchase and sale of call detail records, ownership and Nadra records via WhatsApp groups.
