Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) worker and Tiktok star Saud Butt, who is famous for his anti-government videos, has accused Faisalabad police of raiding his house and harassing his family.
According to Butt, the raiding party was led by ASI Rana Tanveer Malhi of Factory Area police station that barged into his house to detain his father and in-laws. Butt said there were no female officers in the police party, yet it entered his house and harassed his mother and other women present in the house.
Butt said his family members were taken away by the police as if he was wanted for murder. The PML-N worker urged the CPO Faisalabad and RPO to provide him justice and take notice of the raid on his house without any female police officers.
In Aug, the Tiktok star was arrested by the police for hurling stones at the police during PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Police arrested Sajjad Butt from outside the NAB office along with a number of PML-N workers. According to Butt, the police arrested him for no reason when he was just there to show solidarity with the party vice president.
On Aug 12, Maryam Nawaz was summoned by the accountability watchdog in a case pertaining to a transfer of land. As she reached the NAB office, the things got heated, resulting in stone-pelting and baton-charge. Police claim that PML-N had started the clash, where PML-N leadership claims that the police targetted them unfairly.
