Iran has struck back at the United States with its second wave of attack as two bases with US military were attacked with rockets fired by reportedly by the IRGC-backed Kataib Hezbollah.
According to a report in CNN, Iran launched two dozen missiles at two Iraqi bases housing US troops at the Al-Asad Airbase and a base in Erbil.
Foreign media has reported that there have been no casualties so far. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif stated that Iran took and concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. He added, “We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression.”

Moreover, Tehran-based NBC journalist Ali Arouzi stated that Iran had warned that if the US retaliates for the two waves of attacks, the third wave of Iranian attack would destroy Dubai and the Israeli city of Haifa.
Iran already attacked an Iraqi base with US troops on Saturday. There were no casualties, and the attack was claimed to be in retaliation for the killing of Iranian General Qasim Suleimani.
