Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen has arrived in Lahore from United Kingdom (UK). Tareen returned to the country on Friday several months after staying in the UK.
Upon his arrival at the Allama Iqbal airport Lahore , Tareen while talking to media said that he had gone to London for his medical treatment. “ I have been going abroad for this purpose for the past seven years," he said.
Jahangir Tareen left for London after an inquiry report in by sugar inquiry commission which named Tareen as one of the beneficiaries of the sugar scam.
“The opposition has only one purpose, it only points fingers at others." He responded to a question about the allegations of corruption by the opposition.
"Thanks to Allah, my business is clean," he added.
Tareen announced on Twitter later that his mills will start working again on 10th of November and that he will help government in overcoming the sugar crisis in the country.

Earlier, FIA also sought details of Tareen’s assets in the country and abroad. Dawn News reported that FIA was activated for the inquiry of Jahangir Tareen after the interview of prime minister Imran Khan in which he said that he hopes Jahangir Tareen will “come clean” out of charges against him.
