Outrage After Police Allegedly Kill 22-Year-Old Student In Quetta
Balochistan police allegedly shot dead a young student on Sariab Road in Quetta. The incident took place on Wednesday night and led to protest in the city and on social media.

The slain student has been identified as 22-year-old Faizan Jattak. According to reports, the Eagle Squad of Balochistan Police opened fire on the student's car in which he was travelling along with his cousin.

The FIR registered on the complaint of Jattak's cousin stated that the two of them were heading home through Sariab Road at 10 PM when four officials of the Eagle Squad asked them to stop. He added that when they travelled a little ahead, the personnel opened fire on the car due to which Faizan was severely injured. The complainant further said that his cousin died on the spot while he received injuries.

The FIR names four police officials and includes Sections 302 (murder), 324 (attempt to murder) and 34 (acts done by several people in furtherance of common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Social media users have been demanding justice for yet another victim of extrajudicial killing.
