A man was killed by his second wife in Kot Momin, Sargodha, after he contracted a third marriage, with the woman striking him while he was asleep before taking her own life.

A man has been killed by his second wife in Kot Momin, Sargodha, after he married for a third time, with the woman subsequently taking her own life, police confirmed.
The bodies of both the husband and wife were found inside their home. Authorities were alerted after information about the deaths reached police.
According to a District Police Officer spokesperson, the man had contracted his third marriage approximately one week before the killing. His second wife allegedly attacked him while he was asleep, striking him on the head with the wooden leg of a charpoy, a traditional South Asian woven bed. The woman then took her own life.
Police reported that the man had divorced his first wife before marrying his second wife and subsequently entering into his third marriage.
An initial investigation has been completed. Further proceedings are expected to establish the full circumstances surrounding both deaths. No identities of the deceased were provided in the preliminary police report.
