Ever since the NRC (National Register of Citizens) was started in Assam, all states of India suddenly seem to be vying for it. Whether it is West Bengal, Haryana, Delhi, Karnataka, UP--everyone is rushing and making a beeline and mad scramble for it.
I too am in favour of NRC, and would like all 'ghusbaithias' ( infiltrators ) to be thrown out of the country, like 'deemak' or termites (as the Honourable Home Minister has described them).
However, if Amit Shahji permits me a slight modification, I would like to apply NRC to 92-94% of the people living in India today, and have them all thrown out, like termites.
As I have explained in my article ' What is India ', India is broadly a country of immigrants, like North America. Between 92 to 94% of people living in India today are not descendants of the original inhabitants of India but of immigrants, in other words, 'ghusbaithias' or termites, who should be deported forthwith to wherever they came from.
At one time it was thought that the original inhabitants of India were the Dravidians. But later, this theory was disproved by discovery of a Dravidian language, Brahui in Balochistan, and linguistic study of the languages of Indian tribals which showed they do not speak a Dravidian but Munda (Austric) languages, etc. Now it is believed that even the Dravidians, and not just the Aryans, came from outside India.
The view now generally accepted is that the original inhabitants of India were the pre-Dravidian tribals, whose descendants are known as the Adivasis or Scheduled Tribes, the STs (not to be confused with Scheduled Castes or SCs) e.g. Bhils, Gonds, Santhals, Todas, etc who speak the Munda or Austric languages (which are totally unrelated to the Dravidian languages ). These are today only 6-8% of India's population (see my judgment in the Supreme Court, Kailas vs State of Maharashtra, in this connection).
They had been slaughtered in great numbers by the ghusbaithias and termites from outside India ( including Amit Shah's ancestors and my own ) and driven into forests where they have eked out a miserable existence, eating the forest produce, and gathering tendu leaves to sell for making 'bidis'.
To be logically consistent, the ghusbaithias into India, who comprise 92-94% of India's population today, should now be deported to from wherever they came, and if that is not traceable, then to such uninhabited places like most of Australia, Antarctica, etc, and if even that is not possible, dumped into the sea.
