According to a student who shared the details of the university's financial statement on social media, LUMS saved over Rs500 million due to 'the closure of campus' in the wake of Covid crisis. It went on to question the motives behind the decision to stick to the online classes, asking whether the campus was being closed due to health concerns or there were other factors at play.
Some students also questioned if other universities, like the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) can open campuses then why not the LUMS.
Another student criticised the open house organised by the university to deal with the concerns of its students, saying the university was 'becoming highly allergic to criticism and dissent'.
Another questioned the admin's indifference to the plight of the students.
