He issued these remarks while hearing a petition by PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi, against the ECP's decision to hold re-polling in the constituency after fears that results of certain polling stations were manipulated.
A three-member bench of the top court heard the petition.
Justice Bandial, who was heading the bench, remarked that the 2018 general elections were held amicably due to the deployment of Rangers. "But they were not posted in NA-75, which was a mistake on the part of the Election Commission," he said.
He however maintained that the apex court 'respects constitutional institutions', vowing to assess every aspect of the issue.
Last month, the ECP had declared the Daska by-election null and void after more than 20 presiding officers had gone missing under mysterious circumstances. Re-election in the entire constituency was ordered.
