Curfew Imposed In Makkah And Medina To Contain Coronavirus

Saudi Arabia has placed a curfew in Makkah and Medina in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus in the holy cities. The Saudi Interior Ministry made the announcement on Thursday and said that the curfew will remain in place until the next order.

Workers of vital public and private sectors have been exempted from the ban on entry and exit from the city.
All commercial activities have also been subjected with immediate effect.
The Saudi ministry has called on the citizens of Makkah and Medina to fulfill their responsibilities and follow all preventive measures to protect themselves and the people around them from the deadly coronavirus.
