#NobelPeacePrizeForImranKhan: Twitterati all praises for PM Khan

As Pakistan is set to release Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman today, social media users lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s peace gesture with #NobelPeacePrizeForImranKhan being the third trending topic on Twitter in Pakistan.

While addressing a National Assembly session on Thursday, the prime minister had said that Pakistan will release Abhinandan as a peace gesture. He had said tensions between the two countries are due to the Kashmir issue which could only be resolved via dialogue.

Today the social media was rife with people praising the premier while blaming Indian premier Narendra Modi for “escalating tensions between the two countries for his gains”.

One user wrote that "Imran Khan has tried his best to deescalate the tensions", while, he added that in case of escalation, the entire blame will be on Modi".

The user also "supported Nobel Peace Prize for Imran Khan".

While there is also a petition making rounds on the social media that has "nominated Imran Khan for the Nobel Peace Prize". The petition has almost reached its target of 50,000 signatories.

Actress Veena Malik also jumped on the bandwagon and said: "In A World Full of Modis Be like Imran khan...!!!
#NobelPeacePrizeForImranKhan#JummaMubarak"

Another user wrote that "Imran Khan truly deserves Nobel Peace Prize".

Comedian Jeremy McLellan asked if Obama's Nobel Peace Prize could be taken away and given to Imran Khan?

However, Twitterati also urged the PM to make an effort to drive banned terror outfits, including Jaish-e-Muhammed and Sipah Sahaba, out of the country.

On a lighter note, Journalist Ali Arqam said that he was also the part of #SayNoToWar trend so he should at least be given Nobel LCD or LED TV.
