Sindh Government To Bring Aboard Private Sector In Vaccination Efforts
The Sindh cabinet, in a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, has decided to seek the cooperation of private hospitals and laboratories in its mass vaccination efforts against the Coronavirus pandemic.

In its statement, the Sindh government has noted that during the previous year's effort to contain the pandemic, the public sector had been overwhelmed with Covid-19 patients. Given this context, the private sector had played a “critical” role in dealing with the situation.

Considering this experience, the Sindh government has decided to bring on board the private sector as part of efforts to import stocks of the vaccine and establish vaccination centres in the province. The Chief Minister has also indicated that the Sindh Healthcare Commission will establish a mechanism to assist the private sector in purchasing the vaccine from abroad and keeping prices in check.
