Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians, who had long been seeking development funds for uplift schemes in their constituencies, have finally been heard by Prime Minister Imran Khan who announced grant of Rs500 million for each member of National Assembly and the provincial assemblies under sustainable development goals.
The PM made the decision during a meeting of the parliamentary party of the coalition government led by the PTI.
Among other things, attendees of the meeting discussed the opposition’s aggression against the government and Broadsheet scandal.
The possibility of PTI leader Jahangir Tareen returning to the decision making process in the ruling party also came under discussion.
