A revised schedule of the reopening of schools was unveiled by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, who announced that schools will be opening from January 18th for students from grade 9th to 12th. Secondary schools will be reopening on January 25th while universities will reopen from February 1.
At a press conference discussing the issue of the reopening of educational institutions Mehmood revealed the revised schedule and said that the integrated system of online and on campus from the previous reopening will be kept in place.
The minister further added that this time around no student will be automatically promoted to another grade without examination. FSC and matriculation exams that usually take place during the month of March have been shifted to May/June.
