LUMS Students Say Admin Taking Advantage Of Covid Situation To Make Money
Students of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) are protesting the administration's decision of keeping the campus closed, accusing the varsity of minting money on the pretext of the online classes.

According to a student who shared the details of the university's financial statement on social media, LUMS saved over Rs500 million due to 'the closure of campus' in the wake of Covid crisis. It went on to question the motives behind the decision to stick to the online classes, asking whether the campus was being closed due to health concerns or there were other factors at play.

Some students also questioned if other universities, like the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) can open campuses then why not the LUMS.

Another student criticised the open house organised by the university to deal with the concerns of its students, saying the university was 'becoming highly allergic to criticism and dissent'.

Another questioned the admin's indifference to the plight of the students.
