Asset Details Of PM's Advisers, Special Assistants Not Available Online Contrary To Claims

The asset details of Prime Minister Imran Khan's advisers and special assistants have not been uploaded on any website so far, contrary to the recent remarks by Information Minister Shibli Faraz in this regard.

Responding to a question during a presser at the Press Information Department (PID) on Tuesday, the minister had said that the details of assets and outstanding amount concerning loans are available on the website, Urdu News reported.

The report added that contrary to the statement, the said details are not available anywhere on the official websites as well as on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's portal.

When the matter was investigated further, according to the report, it was revealed that the details of the assets are still with one of the additional secretaries in sealed envelops.

The report also quoted a senior representative of the Cabinet division that about 20 advisers and special assistants have submitted the details of their assets. According to him, the premier will be informed through a letter about the submission of the details, and these will be uploaded online after his approval

Recently, the State Bank of Pakistan stated that PTI's debt, excluding its liabilities that it indirectly owes to the creditors, had reached Rs34.5 trillion by the end of May 2020, an increase of at least Rs4.7 trillion in a single year.
