US Announces USD 8 Million Aid To Pakistan To Combat COVID-19
In a video message, the US Ambassador in Pakistan Paul Jones has announced that the US government will provide USD 8 million in assistance to Pakistani government to combat coronavirus pandemic. The ambassador endorsed US-Pakistan partnership in these times of crisis highlighting how it was crucial to help out communities across Pakistan.

First, the US will provide three new mobile labs in virus hotspots where people can be tested, treated and monitored to stop the spread. High-tech medical emergency operations centres in all the provinces in Pakistan will also be funded. Training community healthcare workers to help people living in homes to lessen the burden in hospitals will be a priority.

Moreover, an additional amount of USD 2.4 million will be provided for life saving activities in Afghan refugees' camps administered by the United Nations.
