Actor Sanam Saeed Says Govt Has Abandoned Them In Quarantine
Pakistani movie stars Sanam Saeed and Shamoon Abbasi have been quarantined at Ramada Hotel in Islamabad after returning on April 14, from their 'Ishrat Made in China' shoot.

Dawn reported that Sanam Saeed complained about the government backing out from its promise to look after their accommodation expenses and their quarantine arrangements have been less than ideal.

Initially, they were asked to stay at the hotel for two days but soon after they were asked to stay for a full week, bearing all expenses personally.

To this, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Mohammad Hamza Shafqaat said that the actors had not paid even a single penny up till now and the cost of 2000 passengers per day has been Rs. 1 crore per day.

He said that 30,000 more passengers were expected to come from different countries and that those "stranded were brought and the government paid for them".

The DC also revealed that there are those who are coming on their own will and they will have to pay subsidized rates of food, transport and hotel, because they can afford to.
