Lawyers and doctors involved in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology incident, wherein an enraged mob of lawyers had attacked the hospital, have settled the matter.
Media reports quoted Lahore High Court Bar Association President Hafeez ur Rehman as saying that both lawyers and doctors, who were involved in some manner in the PIC incident, have apologised to each other and have settled the matter.
The settlement comes a month after an angry mob of lawyers attacked the premises of the cardiac hospital, beating up doctors and patients and destroying property. Reportedly, 12 patients died that day due to the non-availability of doctors, who had fled the hospital following the attack.
The lawyers had gathered outside PIC to protest an earlier incident of altercation between doctors and lawyers.
