Bilawal Bhutto Abstained From Voting For Services Act
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari abstained from voting for the Services Act which received the National Assembly’s approval on Tuesday.

The lower house of the parliament gave its nod to the three bills formalising the tenure of the services chiefs. The legislation on the matter was done according to a ruling of the Supreme Court given in November, which gave an extension of six months to the army chief while making it conditional to lawmaking on the matter.

The bill was opposed by the Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and independent lawmakers, notably, Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar.

Moreover, Bilawal Bhutto abstained from voting. Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira told media that the PPP chairperson abstained from voting due to ill health.
