Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday seized a huge quantity of expired chocolate. The original seller is said to be a Korean company.
According to PFA officials, the expired chocolate was found in two fully loaded trucks and a warehouse near Sheikhupura Road. An undercover operation was carried out to arrest the culprits. PFA Director General Irfan Memon supervised the action which was carried out by placing barricades for more than 14 hours at different points. A case has been rgistered against the supplier named Waseem Aslam who has been handed over to the police.
DG PFA in a press release claimed that the accused was taking fully loaded trucks with expired chocolates to Faisalabad after purchasing them from the production unit of Kolson. PFA's action foiled the attempt.
