The verdict was given by IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah. The IHC CJ, while rejecting the case, has said that no one could raise questions about someone’s religious beliefs.
A Twitter user, while reacting to the verdict, stated that the state must act secular as the court did while giving this verdict, and should remove all clauses from the constitution that discriminate on the basis of religion.

The decision comes days after a local court in Multan sentenced academic Junaid Hafeez to death for blasphemy.
The convict, a Fulbright scholar, had been accused of blasphemy on social media by a religious group at Bahauddin Zakriya University in Multan, where he taught. He has been in prison for six years.
