Govt Files Appeal Against 'Flawed' Verdict In COAS Extension Case
The government’s legal team has filed a review petition with the Supreme Court (SC) on the COAS extension case.

Special Assistant to the PM Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government thought there are flaws with the judgement.

A bench headed by the CJP had announced a verdict that said that the extension of the COAS was not done in the proper way. They had extended the COAS term by 6 months and asked the government to legislate on the matter.

AG Anwar Masood Khan commented on the verdict and said that the SC had overlooked both the constitution and vital laws pertaining to the matter.

He also said that the court had no right to interfere in an age long tradition that had been going on flawlessly before.
