An Anti-Terrorism Court has sentenced a man to death for raping and murdering three minors who were found near the Chunian Bypass in September. three counts of death for kidnapping, raping and murdering a minor in Chunian.
The addition of one more body soon after the incident prompted citizens to protest outside the police office in the city. By carrying out DNA testing on the bodies, they were able to arrest Shehzadah. His DNA matched with that found on one of the bodies.
The trial took place in Kot Lakhpat Jail because of security reasons. 23 witnesses were produced before the court. Shehzadah was also fined 3 million rupees and will have to pay 2 lakhs to the families of the deceased.
