Karachi Police Kill One In Unprovoked Firing
One person was killed while another was injured on Thursday when police officials opened fire on a vehicle in Karachi’s Frere Hall area.

Police have claimed that they were conducting a patrol when they signaled a vehicle to stop. The vehicle, however, accelerated and sped off.

In response, police officials opened fire without any just cause.

Karachi South Senior Superintendent Police Shiraz Nazir told media that police officers responsible for the firing had been detained.

The police stated that the car stopped in front of Frere Hall, following which police opened fire.

The deceased, Nabeel Hoodboy, was shot in the neck while his friend, Raza Imam was hit in the arm by the same bullet.

The police officials that were involved in the shooting have been identified as Sub-Inspector Abdul Ghafoor, Head Constable Aftab and Constable Mohammad Ali Shah.
