According to National Herald, Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation chairman has written a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take up the matter with the manufacturer.

"The image is a mockery of Gandhi wearing a cooling glass, a T-Shirt and an overcoat. On his website hipstoryart.com, there are many pictures and products of Gandhi being made a mockery.”

Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation chairman Eby J Jos had also urged Modi and Netanyahu to instruct Maka Brewery to withdraw the liquor bottle labelled with the image of Gandhi at the earliest.
