Sheikh Rashid terms Firdous Ashiq Awan as 'sahab'

Federal Minister of Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday mentioned Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan as "Firdous Sahab".

While speaking to the media, Rashid said, "I don't think I am capable for the Ministry of Information. Firdous Ashiq Awan is a great minister and experienced. I sometimes give answers for Prime Minister Imran Khan but it is Firdous Ashiq Awan Sahab's job to run the ministry."

When the reporter’s pointed out his mistake that he called Awan as “sahab instead of sahiba”, Rashid said “he did not say such thing." Moreover, he added that a fight has started in the country over 'sahab and sahiba'.

Responding to a question over PM Imran Khan calling Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari “Sahiba”, the minister said that PM Khan referring Bilawal sahiba and that is the end of the issue.

He also said an environment of judo karate has being created in national assembly over this issue adding that all thieves have one agenda and don't want the PM, the economy or the assembly to function properly.”

The minister also responded on the reports about Usman Buzdar’s removal as Punjab Chief Minister and said that even yesterday Buzdar was with Imran Khan and standing next to him.
