Sit-In Demanding Justice For Slain Balochistan Levies Personnel Enters Sixth Day

Scores of people have gathered in Ziarat, Balochistan to organize a sit-in demanding justice for six Balochistan Levies personnel who were martyred in a terrorist attack on March 21.

The main demands of the protesters are ensuring justice to killed Levis personnel, identifying and punishing the core elements who were involved in the tragic incident, guaranteeing security and providing due security facilities to Levies personnel, and an end to ‘proxy war’ in the region.



Four terrorists attacked a Levies checkpost in Ziarat’s Sanjavi area on March 21, killing all six personnel present. Deputy Commissioner Ziarat Qadir Bakhsh Pirkani said the terrorists managed to escape and took away the weapons as well.

The martyred personnel were identified as identified as Daffadar Mehtabuddin, Sepoy Abdul Hakeem, Sepoy Faqir Muhammad, Sepoy Muhammad Usman, Sepoy Abdul Shakoor, Sepoy Daad Muhammad.

After the incident, Levies personnel and other law enforcement agencies reached the spot to launch an investigation into the attack, while Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal condemned the attack.

On Tuesday, security officials conducted raid in Nasirabad. All four terrorists blew themselves up during exchange of fire, while four security personnel were injured in the attack.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the terrorists were responsible for the attack on Levies personnel. According to reports, ID cards of the Levies officers were recovered from the raided place.
