Aamna Malik posted a video on social media, requesting people not to believe in rumors that says coronavirus doesn’t exist. “It’s not true that young people can easily survive after contracting the deadly virus. My cousin Salman Malik was only 23 years old and he died last night on ventilator. His lungs had stopped functioning.”
She said that if her family can go through this, then everyone’s family is equally vulnerable. “I request everyone to please stay at home and take this disease seriously,” she added.
The fatal coronavirus has claimed 1,286 lives in Pakistan, while 22,305 patients have recovered successfully and have been discharged from the hospitals.
The national tally of coronavirus confirmed cases has risen to 62,789, with the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan confirming 22,037, 25,309, 8,842, 3,616 cases respectively. Meanwhile, 658 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan, 2,100 in Islamabad, and 227 in Kashmir have been reported to date.
