The corona-positive governor, while talking to a private TV channel, said: “People of Interior Sindh have not been educated about the virus. During my visit, they came very close to me due to which I contracted coronavirus.”
A day before testing positive for coronavirus, Imran Ismail himself violated the guidelines of government to not meet elderly people during the coronavirus crisis. In an interview to a private channel, he said: I had iftar with my mother, a day before testing positive for coronavirus. Now all my family members including my mother will be tested for coronavirus.”
On Monday, Imran Ismail took to Twitter and announced his health condition. The governor said that he would defeat the fatal pandemic ‘with the grace of Allah’.
The virus has claimed 327 lives in Pakistan, while 3,425 patients have recovered successfully and have discharged from the hospitals.
The national tally of coronavirus confirmed cases has risen to 14,885, with the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan confirming 5,827, 5,291, 2,160, 915 cases respectively. Meanwhile, 330 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan, 297 in Islamabad, and 65 in Kashmir have reported to date.
