69 TLP Workers In Rawalpindi Division Placed On Fourth Schedule

The Punjab home department has placed 69 workers of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on the fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 in the Rawalpindi division. These individuals were found involved in 'harmful activities'.

92 of them belonged to the Rawalpindi district, 68 were from Attock, 14 live in Jhelum while 44 belong to Chakwal.

Dawn quoted sources as saying that the names of 39 other workers of the proscribed TLP have been forwarded to the home department seeking their placement on the watch list. A total of 108 activists of the TLP in the Rawalpindi region are now in the list.

10 of the 39 workers belong to Attock, 14 are from Jhelum and 15 live in Chakwal.

Dawn reported that Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Imran Ahmar confirmed the development and said that all legal requirements were followed before their inclusion in the list.
