In recent meeting of senate house committee, Saleem Mandviwalla directed the CDA officials to construct the beauty salon on priority basis after consulting Senator Kulsoom Parveen and Samina Saeed. CDA officials were also directed to present the construction plan before the member of the committee for renovation of the Parliament Lodges.
Earlier Senator Kulsoom Parveen and Samina Saeed had raised their voice for the need of construction of beauty salon. Subsequently, CDA officials were directed to contact both the women senators for the allocation of a place for the salon in Parliament Lodges, but the officials failed to contact either of the senators.
Committee was told that Rs319 million were allocated for repair and maintenance work of the lodges whereas the agency had spent Rs203 million so far.
The committee also discussed the poor and unhygienic water supply, the senators requested the deputy chairman to direct CDA to ensure purified water supply in the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges.
