Speaking on Samaa's talk show Naya Din, Khoso revealed that he has decided to shoot a film on the Kashmir issue but did not share a lot of details regarding the project. He said that the film will be shot in Kashmir, it will be named after a Kashmiri fighter and he hoped that friends from the industry will join his cause.
"The production shouldn't be one which shows a Kashmiri fighter and shows him romancing and him singing songs and his lover prancing around him. I don't want that, we're going to make a clean, issue-based film based on the Kashmir cause," Khoso told the Samaa TV show hosts.
But Aamir Liaquat has, who said that the film would be based on the life of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani and he would be playing his character.
"The film is on Burhan Wani and I will be playing him in the film. I don't consider myself a hero but Burhan Wani was definitely a hero for the Kashmiri people," Liaquat said.
Wani gained popularity among Kashmiris due to his social media activity, and was martyred on July 8, 2016, in an encounter with Indian security forces.
