Senior politicians Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Aslam Raisani, and Miftah Ismail are planning to create a new political party, said senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy.

While speaking at the program on Naya Daur TV, the analyst said all four senior politicians are out of their respective political parties. Initially, they all had plans to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but after the May 9 incident, they decided not to join it.

Suharwardy said that all these politicians are ‘horses’ of the establishment.

He mentioned that there was a time when Khokhar was so close to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He became a senator from Sindh despite being from Punjab because of close ties with Bilawal, he added. Later, Khokhar parted ways from the PPP due to differences with Bilawal, he said.

The analyst said that Abbasi was a candidate for prime minister, and a meeting was also held between him and then-army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in this regard. After that meeting, Abbasi met Shehbaz Sharif and told him that the army wanted to see him as the prime minister, but Shehbaz responded "The army should contact me and inform me if it wants your nomination as the prime minister.”

Suharwardy said that Abbasi had also made statements against PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and former Prime Minister Shehbaz, so there is no space for him in the party.

While responding to a question about why PTI chairman Imran Khan denied her shifting from Attock jail to Adiala jail, he said that Khan always realizes things after passing time. He said that Khan has realized that his legal time has caused a problem for him by taking the stance that, since the case is in Islamabad, he should be kept in jail located in the federal capital.

Khan has realized that he might be shifted from one jail to another across the country due to that stance, he said.
