Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) Managing Director Rai Manzoor Hussain Nasir, who had liked pornographic content on Twitter, has denied the allegations of ‘inappropriate' online activities saying that his account was ‘hacked’.

The PCTB MD issued a statement on his Twitter account saying that he was "accused of liking an immoral picture on Twitter and also of making inappropriate comments on photographs" after he banned at least 100 books on Thursday.

While rebutting the accusations, he said: “I deny these allegations emphatically and maintain that I have been the victim of a social media hack. I am making every effort to secure my social media accounts.”

Rai Manzoor said that he has fired as many as 10 employees who according to him were involved in ‘corruption’ and ‘security breaches’ on his personal Twitter account. He also said that the PCTB had formed 30 committees to review a wide range of books.

Last week Rai Manzoor Hussain was being questioned for his perceived ‘hypocrisy’ on social media for ‘liking’ a pornographic video on Twitter, following the decision of PCTB to ban 100 books being taught in private schools over ‘anti-national’ and ‘blasphemous’ content.
