Taking to Twitter, the PPP leader said that those who attacked her residence want her not to contest the Senate polls and are 'threatened' by her candidature. She added that she was being targeted for being a woman and for daring to speak her mind. "This is too small a tactic to scare me out of the fight," she further said in the tweet.

Earlier, Palwasha Khan's nomination papers were approved after much ado, as a PTI leader had raised objection over her nomination. It was alleged that the candidate had provided the address of a vacant government-owned plot as her voting address. An election tribunal later dismissed a plea against acceptance of her nomination papers, thereby clearing her to contest the Senate polls.
