PPP To Bring Down Incompetent Govt, Zardari Addresses Liaquat Bagh Rally

Former president Asif Zardari has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government cannot run the country and the Pakistan Peoples Party would bring down this incompetent government.

In a video recording, released by Capital TV, that was played at Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) rally at Liaquat Bagh today, Zardari addressed the crowd and stated that the people were standing at the same place where Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were murdered. He said that they had fought against dictators, who were scared of the two leaders.

He further said, “Today you see what happened to those dictators.”

The PPP co-chairman said that those raising their voices for what was right were murdered, while the voices of those who were not representative of the nation were amplified.

Zardari said that the people in government could not run the country, adding that they could not be expected to rule effectively as they were not aware of the problems of the common man.

He added that the PPP would achieve success against these people, would one day bring a government of the people.

Moreover, while addressing the rally, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated that he would continue the mission of his mother and give people their due rights by ridding them of this government of ‘political orphans’.

He said that 2020 would be the year of free and fair elections and urged the masses to give him support in ousting the government of selected and political orphans.

Bilawal said that that people’s rule could not be established without the PPP.

He added that the PPP would build a Pakistan that Benazir envisioned, as this was not the democracy she had fought for nor was it the economy that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had tried to revolutionise.
