Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Bill Gates, co-chair of B&MGF, were present during the ceremony.
Special Assistant to the PM on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar and B&MGF Global Development President Dr Chris Elias signed the document on the sidelines of the 74th session of UN General Assembly.
Per the agreement, the funds would be spent on 134 poverty alleviation projects in the country, according to Radio Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said that Ehsaas was the biggest poverty alleviation project in Pakistan. “I’m pleased that the B&MGF would provide much-needed assistance to the government to fight poverty," the premier said.
He also said that poverty alleviation has been the topmost priority of his government and great care has been taken to finalise the plans in this connections, reported Radio Pakistan.
