The Dutch queen landed at Nur Khan Air Base and was received by senior officials of the foreign ministry along with representatives of the Embassy of the Netherlands.
The Foreign Office had announced that the queen of the Netherlands would be visiting Pakistan from November 25-27.
The statement issued by the FO said that the queen would be discussing the progress of access to financial services to improve the economic position of Pakistan’s inhabitants.
The queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands would hold talks with international development partners, governor of the State Bank of Pakistan Reza Baqir, Adviser to the prime minister on economic affairs Hafeez Shaikh, and chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Usman Mubin.
Moreover, she would also possibly be attending the launch of ‘Micropayments Gateway’, an initiative to reduce the cost of small payments to stimulate digital payments, particularly for people in poverty situations.
