In an apparent reference to the sexual harassment case filed by singer Meesha Shafi against Ali Zafar, Mazari said that harassment cases face unusual delays in the Supreme Court because the accused use their influence and power.
In September, President Arif Alvi had awarded singer Ali Zafar, who is currently facing sexual harassment allegations, with Pride of Performance— a move that irked human rights activists. Women rights groups had demanded the government not to honour individuals accused of harassment.
