While the verdict was somewhat expected as per many political analysts, but PML-N supporters and those who love Nawaz Sharif are finding it a bitter pill to swallow.
Maryam Nawaz, who had not tweeted for 5 months, also took to Twitter a night before the verdict to show support to her father.
She also tweeted her point of view after the AC announced its verdict. “It is the fourth time one man has been punished. Blind revenge has crossed all limits. But victory will be Nawaz Sharif’s.”

Maryam added that Nawaz was sentenced despite no corruption being proved against him and that such verdicts only strengthened his position has an honest man.

'Public won't accept this judgement'
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the public would not accept such an unfair verdict and that the PML-N will appeal the verdict.
He added that the party would also peacefully protest against the verdict in and out of the parliament.
'Nawaz being punished for something else'
PMLN leader Mushahidullah said that Nawaz Sharif was being punished not because of the cases against him because due to ‘something else and even a child knows that’.
“Nawaz Sharif was the only who ended loadshedding and brought Pakistan back on track to prosperity. Those who have actual cases against them are ministers and prime ministers.”
