Pakistan can now prepare biological or artificial skin on a large scale . The skin can be made at a private lab in Lahore. This is big step for burn victims. Biological skin will help reduce the mortality rate of burn patients. Previously, skin for burn victims had to be imported. This means that only the really rich could afford the skin and the accompanying plastic surgeries. With the large scale production of artificial skin, what used to cost Rs127,440, will now cost Rs1000.
