The party held the gathering in front of the Karachi Press Club, where slogans were raised in support of the former president. The protesters displayed banners expressing its non-acceptance and disapproval of the high treason verdict.
Arab News correspondent Naimat Khan stated on Twitter that a speaker at the rally, Imran Ghauri, demanded that all judges should be hanged at chowks, and if they weren’t, the masses would do it themselves.

MQM-P had earlier termed the verdict a ‘conspiracy against the army’, with the party president, Khalid Siddiqui, claiming that the decision appeared to be personal vendetta.
The party had also made it clear that it would raise the idea of challenging the decision in the federal cabinet, and if no progress was made, the party would approach the court.
